Strong pitching and an 18 hit attack proved to be the winning formula as the Orioles defeated the Red Sox 13-1.
Alex Cobb was strong in producing a quality start as he pitched 7.0 innings with 1 run allowed on 6 hits with 2 walks and 4 strikeouts. Cobb tossed 89 pitches (60 strikes) to improve his record to 2-5.
Jose Iglesias, Pat Valaika and Austin Hays each hit solo homers.
Ramon Urias went 3 for 4 with 2 runs scored, 2 doubles, 2 RBI and 1 walk. The trio of Hays, Valaika and Rio Ruiz, batting 5-6-7, went a combined 9 for 15 with 9 runs scored, 4 doubles and 4 RBI.
