The Aegis high school sports players of the week for April 7-13

April 15, 2025 by The Baltimore Sun

Each week throughout the season, The Aegis will select players of the week in each spring sport. The public will then have the opportunity to vote which of the individual sport selections will earn the honor of overall Harford County Player of the Week. Voting will run through the end of the day Tuesday and readers can vote once per hour.

Here are the Athletes of the Week for April 7-13.

Boys lacrosse

Ethan Smith, North Harford

The freshman goalie had career-high 21 saves in just his second start of the season in a 7-4 win over Harford Tech last week to push the Hawks to 4-2 on the season.

Girls lacrosse

Emily Tapley, Patterson Mill

Tapley lit it up in a 18-7 win over Aberdeen, scoring eight goals in the Huskies’ victory.

Baseball

Bryce Bauer, Havre de Grace

Bauer dominated on the mound and batter’s box last week, going 9-for-12 with four doubles and one home run at the plate, then tossing a scoreless complete game (four unearned runs) with seven strikeouts. Havre de Grace went 2-1 on the week.

Softball

Mandi Redmiles, Patterson Mill

In two impressive starts in the circle last week, Redmiles tossed a perfect game in a 16-0 win over Joppatowne, then a scoreless one-hitter in a 6-0 victory over Bel Air. She tallied 17 strikeouts to just four walks across 12 innings on the week as the Huskies reached 9-0 in conference play.
