In a press conference with media on Monday, the Mystics forward said that her back feels better and she is back in some full practices. However, her playing time, if she does return, will be limited.
The Washington Mystics will resume their 2021 season this Sunday when they play the Las Vegas Aces on the road. One of the key questions Washington faces is whether they will get Elena Delle Donne, the 2019 WNBA MVP back.
In a press conference with media on Monday, General Manager and Head Coach Mike Thibault said that she is now doing some live practices including 5×5 but her reps are limited.

It is complicated on when she will actually return to the court, but it’s possible she may go on Washington’s road trip this weekend.
You can watch the entire press conference below.
When Delle Donne spoke, she said that her back feels very good, but she has had to adjust her body movements after her back procedures since 2019. When she does return to games, Delle Donne said she would be on a minutes restriction.

It’s unclear how much of the load Delle Donne will take off from Tina Charles, who has been the team’s leading scorer this season. But the Mystics will be better with Delle Donne back in action nevertheless.
