The Washington Wizards (29-34) are coming off a 122-93 win against the Cleveland Cavaliers Friday evening. Before they head back to D.C., they will stop in Dallas in hopes of securing a second consecutive win. The Mavericks currently sit at #6 in the Western Conference with a record of 35-27.
It’s fun when “everybody eats.” Yes, everybody eats is a thing again.
Last game Bradley Beal and Russell Westbrook, who had a triple-double, didn’t have to put up crazy numbers or play most of the game to secure a win. The Wizards had 7 players score in double-figures and 56 of the team’s 122 total points came from the bench.
In a post-game availability, Westbrook called the Wizards’ run “amazing.” “It’s so much fun to me to see our guys do well. It’s an unbelievable thing… Everybody eats,” he added.
Will Luka Doncic play?
Doncic missed the team’s last game on Thursday against the Pistons due to an elbow injury and as of Friday night, he was not listed on any injury reports.
Whether or not Doncic, plays the Wizards will still have to show up. Without him on Thursday, the Mavericks were able to secure a 10-point win thanks to them having five players in double-figures and Tim Hardaway Jr. putting up 42 points.
The Wizards lost to the Mavericks earlier this month
The Wizards matched up for the first time this season against Dallas just a few weeks ago, which resulted in a 109-87 loss. Washington was outplayed across the board in points, assists, rebounds, steals, and assists. They also struggled from beyond the arc, shooting just 20 percent. The Wizards also had 14 turnovers – twice as many as the Mavericks.
Hopefully, the Wizards have a better night this time around. If they carry over energy from Friday night, it should be a good game.
