Washington finishes 1-3 in the NBA Summer League.
The Washington Wizards lost to the Indiana Pacers, 74-65 in their final game of the 2021 NBA Summer League.
Like their early games this past week, the Wizards didn’t look particularly good as a team unit, shooting just 34.2 percent from the field, committing 20 turnovers to 16 assists. While second round draft pick Isaiah Todd scored 11 points to lead Washington, no other player scored in double figures. Even then, Todd’s performance was nothing to write home about since he shot 4-of-16 from the field.
First round pick Corey Kispert shot just 1-of-7 and had just 3 points in 21 minutes.
For the Pacers, Cassius Stanley led with 19 points. Chris Duarte, their first round pick, did not play.
While the final score of this game indicated that Washington was down by single digits, the Pacers led by double digits for most of the game and led by as many as 25 points in the fourth quarter before Washington made a late run though the game was all but decided.
The Wizards finish the 2021 Summer League with a 1-3 record.
