Over the last few days, the Baltimore Ravens made moves to trim their roster down to 85 players by the NFL’s deadline of August 17th at 4PM EST. One of those moves was waiving cornerback Davontae Harris, who was in his second season with the team.
Even though his time in Baltimore came to an end on Monday, it didn’t take long for Harris to find a new NFL home, as he was claimed off of waivers by the San Francisco 49ers on Tuesday.

Harris appeared in four games for the Ravens during the 2020 season after being claimed on waivers from the Denver Broncos in November. He provided some solid play while others were out with injury, but got hurt himself and was placed on injured reserve in late-December.
The cornerback had re-signed with Baltimore in February after being released in January.
