The Baltimore Ravens navigated through a trying 2020 season that involved a big Coronavirus outbreak throughout their organization. While the 2021 season throughout the entire league is expected to return to some state of normalcy, there will still likely be some bumps in the road.
One of those bumps came on Tuesday for Baltimore, as it was reported that running back Gus Edwards had tested positive for COVID and will miss the first 10 days of training camp.

Despite this unfortunate news, it was also reported by Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic that the Ravens are in the “90% range and rising” in terms of player vaccinations.

However, even though Baltimore has an impressive number of player vaccinations, Zrebiec indicated that the timeframe that Edwards will be out of training camp for says a lot about his vaccination status.
The timeframe for how long he’ll be out tells you he’s unvaccinated.

If vaccinated and asymptomatic, players can return after producing 2 negative tests 24 hours apart. IF unvaccinated, players will have to be isolated for 10 days and then can return if asymptomatic

The 2021 season will be an interesting one. There will most likely be more positive tests across the league, despite how many vaccinations there have been so far. Edwards will be able to return after a 10 day period, but for now he can focus on getting back on the field, but most importantly getting well.
