Lamar Jackson has bounce back performance during Tuesday's practice

August 18, 2021 by Ravens Wire

On Tuesday, the Baltimore Ravens had one last practice before heading down to South Carolina for joint practices with the Carolina Panthers. Those practices will take place on Wednesday and Thursday, but on Tuesday, Baltimore saw Lamar Jackson have a bounce-back performance after throwing two interceptions on Monday.

After throwing two picks Monday, Lamar Jackson bounced back in a big way today.

He was 14-for-15 in 11-on-11 play against a blitz-heavy defense, though he took several sacks.

Patrick Ricard, aka Rashod Bateman’s replacement, had four completions from Jackson in 11-on-11.

Tyus Bowser with a near-INT on Jackson in 7s. Played man coverage against JK Dobbins and undercut the route.

Pair of connections between Jackson and Dobbins. One of them a screen which drew in defenders. OL arrived and paved room for a first down.

Ronnie Stanley did another 11-on-11 session today and looked comfortable on his pulls. He didn’t finish the practice, but that looked like it was the plan.

Huntley with an excellent one-step drop and throw to Tomlinson. Read blitz and it wasn’t a bluff by the defense.

While it’s good news that Jackson had a strong day on Tuesday, it’s even better news that tackle Ronnie Stanley appears to be ramping up to full strength. While he’s not there yet, going through another 11-on-11 session certainly bodes well for his availability for the regular season opener.

There will be plenty to watch for during the next two days when the team goes up against the Panthers in practice. Players will have an opportunity to continue to stack good performances and hopefully get a bit closer to a spot on the final 53-man roster.
