The Ravens offense, particularly the passing game, hasn’t had much time to develop on-field chemistry ahead of the 2021 season. Jackson missed time for COVID-related issues at the start of preseason camp. He’s since returned from an extended absence, but now his receivers are having complications getting on the practice field.
Half of Baltimore’s receivers missed practice on Tuesday, according to ESPN’s Jamison Hensley. The list included: Marquise Brown, Sammy Watkins, Rashod Bateman, Miles Boykin, James Porche and Deon Cain. Is it time to panic? Jackson isn’t worried.
The 2019 NFL MVP told reporters on Tuesday that he’s already spent plenty of time with his receivers developing chemistry before preseason camp.
“I’ve worked with those guys before they went down and stuff like that,” Jackson said. “So I think when they come back, we’ll be hitting right where we started off at,” Jackson said in his press conference. “But we’ve got guys who have come in and they’ve been working very hard and done a tremendous job since those guys have been out. And when they get back, we can go from there. But we’re not worried about it because they’ve been working hard, and we’ve been working hard as well.”

The Ravens offense could be lethal when it’s at full force. But that’s no guarantee, especially in the NFL.
As long as Baltimore’s receivers get healthy in time for the second half of the season, the Ravens should be in good shape. It’ll be fun watching a Ravens offense which more heavily relies on the passing attack.
The Ravens kick off the 2021 season on Sept. 13 against the Las Vegas Raiders.
