The Baltimore Ravens are putting their money where their mouth is and paying Mark Andrews like one of the best tight ends in football.
Andrews agreed to a lucrative contract extension on Monday evening. The deal spans four years and is worth $56 million, per NFL insider Ian Rapoport. He’s now one of the top paid tight ends in the sport.
The talented tight end has been a legitimate threat in the Ravens’ passing game ever since he joined the team back in 2018. In three years in Baltimore, Andrews has 156 catches for 2,105 yards and 20 touchdowns. He seems to be getting better and better each season.
The Ravens are paying Andrews handsomely for his contributions with the hope he can continue to perform at a high level in the coming years.
Sources: The #Ravens and Pro Bowl TE Mark Andrews have agreed to terms on a substantial extension, with Andrews getting a 4-year deal worth $56M. The $14M APY means he’ll make more money through 4 years than any other TE in the league. 💰 💰 💰

Mark Andrews now trails only George Kittle and Travis Kelce in average salary per season among tight ends.
“Mark Andrews is now the NFL’s third-highest paid tight end at $14M per season,” wrote ESPN’s Jamison Hensley via Twitter. “He trails George Kittle ($15M) and Travis Kelce ($14.3M).”

Happy birthday, Mark Andrews. Got a four-year extension whereas the #Ravens often do five-year deals (not to mention George Kittle signed for five as well). So that means Andrews is under contract through age 30. So reasonable to assume he’ll have a shot at another big payday. https://t.co/1GAl7h6olj

Love this deal for both parties.
Andrews was always going to get top dollar. He earned his money.
The #Ravens keep a player who is invaluable to their offense.
Andrews is likely to remain Lamar Jackson’s most valuable target for the duration of this contract.
Well done 👏 https://t.co/ZyH7gwMMe7

It sounds like Mark Andrews’ deal is a win-win for both sides. He doesn’t have to worry about his future and the Ravens have locked in one of their top offensive players for the next few seasons.
Andrews and the Ravens begin the 2021 season on Monday, Sept. 13 against the Las Vegas Raiders.
