The Ravens made their final pick in the 2021 NFL Draft!
Our last pick of the 2021 NFL Draft‼️
— Baltimore Ravens (@Ravens) May 1, 2021
The Ravens keep the Harbaugh-to-Harbaugh pipeline going with the selection of the tight end/fullback hybrid. Mason mostly lined up in the backfield in college and was utilized primarily as a lead blocker but the Ravens will be hoping to unlock his untapped potential as a pass catcher that he flashed at the Senior Bowl. He only caught three passes for 32 yards and a touchdown in 22 career games
The former Wolverine was good chain moving short yardage back throughout his career and as a sophomore, he was a potent goal line scoring machine with seven touchdowns. Mason appeared in 10 games that season and carried the ball 33 times for 80 yards rushing with an average of 2.4 per carry.
He’s an underrated athlete that will come in and compete for the third tight end role as well as provide depth at fullback behind two-time Pro Bowler Patrick Ricard if he ultimately makes the team.
