Week 1 of the 2021 NFL season is finally underway, with the Ravens beginning their season on the road in Las Vegas against the Raiders. The staff of Baltimore Beatdown gives their bold predictions for Monday night’s showdown.

Joshua Reed

There has been a growing shroud of doubt that the Ravens will be able to start the season fast due to health and lack of overall cohesion on offense. However, I boldly predict that they start the season off with a bang on both sides of the ball. I predict a big night for the passing attack led by Lamar Jackson who will throw for five touchdowns, with Marquise Brown having a big game. Defensively, Justin Madubuike wrecks shop on the Raiders offensive line to the tune of at least two sacks.

In his first game as the No. 1 running back, Ty’Son Williams goes for over 100 yards and a touchdown. Marquise Brown gets loose for a touchdown reception of over 50 yards. Anthony Averett shines and gets his hands on his first career interception. The Ravens win the battle in the trenches, limiting the Raiders’ offense to around 3.0 yards per carry on the ground.

Spencer Schultz

Baltimore’s newfound under-center attack gives Las Vegas problems, leading to consistently hurting the Raiders on perimeter throws. On defense, the Ravens stalemate the run game, while Derek Carr distributes the ball evenly and accumulates over 300 yards and two touchdowns through the air. Lamar Jackson continues his Week 1 dominance, leading the Ravens to four drives resulting in touchdowns, en route to putting up over 30 points in a Week 1 win on the road to open the year.

Jonas Evans

Tylan Wallace will grab a touchdown pass in his first NFL game, making a significant difference in this offense early. Calais Campbell will wreak havoc on the Raiders offensive line, finishing with multiple sacks. However, the star of the show will be Patrick Queen; he will be all over the field, ending the game with a sack and leading the team in tackles.

Baltimore’s recent track record of Week 1 beatdowns continues on Monday Night Football in Las Vegas for the world to see. Lamar Jackson puts on a show through the air as he passes for five touchdowns and over 300 yards. Marquise “Hollywood” Brown has a big night with over 120 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. On defense, the Ravens blitz overwhelms the new offensive line of the Raiders as they sack Derek Carr five times. DeShon Elliott and Patrick Queen steal the show, both notching a sack and each forcing a fumble.
