While former No. 2 overall pick Robert Griffin III is no longer with the Baltimore Ravens, he still has the utmost faith in his former squad.
On Wednesday’s episode of Get Up, the newly-hired ESPN analyst gave his prediction for this year’s Super Bowl champion.
“I think the Ravens take that final step,” Griffin said. “I think they take it all the way to the Super Bowl. I know the guys in that locker room. I know how they work. I know how much it means to them.
“That defense is aging a little bit, so I think it’s now or never for the Baltimore Ravens. And I think Lamar Jackson gets it done.”

RG3 served as a backup QB for the Ravens through all three of Lamar Jackson’s NFL seasons so far (2018-20). With that in mind, the former Pro Bowl quarterback clearly has a good idea of the current mindset within the Baltimore organization.
Griffin also responded to recent claims from his Get Up colleague Jeremy Fowler that the NFL has “figured out” Jackson’s play style.
“Honestly, what he does is go out and play football,” RG3 explained. “He doesn’t think about it. He’s an instinctual player. So right when teams think they’ve figured him out, they haven’t. Because guess what — he doesn’t even know what he’s going to do next.”
The Ravens have made positive strides in each year of Jackson’s career so far. After failing to get past the Wild Card round in his first two seasons, the former league MVP brought the Baltimore squad to the divisional round in 2020-21.
In order to make Griffin’s prediction come true, the Ravens will need to take an even bigger jump this coming season.
Baltimore currently holds the fourth best odds to win the 2022 Super Bowl at +1400, per Caesars Sportsbook.
