There is only one Terrell Owens, but the Hall of Famer believes there’s two wide receivers currently in the NFL who remind him of himself.
During an appearance on NFL Network’s Good Morning Football, Owens said that Julio Jones and D.K. Metcalf have playing styles that are similar to his.
“I think from a size standpoint, you think of guys like D.K. Metcalf and Julio Jones,” Owens said. “Those are the main two that come to mind, especially when you look at what Julio can do – his catch radius is like no other. Just think about what he can do once he gets the ball in his hands. You obviously can see what D.K. Metcalf is about to do in Seattle [as well]. So those are definitely the two guys who eerily resemble myself.”
After revealing why Jones and Metcalf remind him of himself, Owens pointed out that he’s still one of a kind. Technically speaking, he’s not wrong.
Over the course of his NFL career, Owens had 1,078 receptions for 15,934 yards and 153 touchdowns. He was undoubtedly one of the best players of his generation.
We had an awesome time with our guy @terrellowens!
We look at our favorite moment from 2008 (must watch), the greatest WR duo of all-time, Which WR reminds him of himself, an more!
Plus, could TO lace ’em up and play today?

Later on during the show, Owens told the Good Morning Football crew that he can still play in the NFL.
We’re not sure if Owens still has what it takes to play at the pro level, but we’d love to see him try.
