The Arch Manning hype train continues to gain steam.
The five-star quarterback recruit is about to start his junior year of high school. Arch Manning, the nephew of Peyton and Eli Manning, is already posting some eye-popping numbers.
“He’s ready to go,” Isidore Newman head coach Nelson Stewart told 247Sports. “He’s really excited. I told him the other day walking off the field he’s as big as I was when I played defensive line my junior year. He’s got so big in a good way. He’s 6-4, 210.”
Arch Manning appears to be more of an athlete than this uncles, too.
“Hand-clocked recently 4.65 in the 40, he benches 240 and cleans 250,” Stewart said. “He’s taken a liking to those cleans. For us we document quarterback lifting records and those are already records.”
Where will Arch Manning end up? It’s been an eventful summer for the quarterback prodigy. He’s visited Clemson, SMU, Texas, LSU, Alabama, Georgia and Ole Miss so far this summer.
One school is seen by some as the “best fit.” That school: Texas.
Texas could reportedly be the school that makes the most sense for 5-Star QB Arch Manning. https://t.co/g9mukrWXX6

Steve Sarkisian’s program reportedly hit a “home run” during its visit with Arch Manning.
“I think they hit a home run, I think they are squarely in the mix for Arch Manning,” Josh Pate said of Texas, via 247Sports. “But eventually, they’re going to have to have something tangible. Because there’s going to be too much tangible result to be seen from Alabama and the likes of Clemson. Texas has got to get it done. They have to show you something in weeks one and two because if you are to come out of summer on this massive recruiting hype wave and then you start to show product on the field earlier than anyone expected, that starts a snowball effect. That’s how you really start to take off in recruiting even in year one under a new staff and that’s how incredible things can happen.”
Texas could benefit from its impending move to the SEC, as well. Arch Manning could play for the Longhorns and still play relatively close to home a lot of the time.
This recruitment will certainly be very interesting to watch moving forward.
