Baker Mayfield is one of the quarterbacks up next in the big contract talks.
The Dallas Cowboys signed Dak Prescott to a sizable extension earlier this year. The Buffalo Bills locked up Josh Allen to a big extension earlier this month.
Mayfield and Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson could be up next.
However, Mayfield doesn’t seem to be fretting over it.
“I’m not doing the negotiations so quite frankly I don’t give a damn. I’m worried about winning…” Mayfield explained to reporters on Sunday.

Earlier on Sunday, ESPN NFL insider Jeremy Fowler reported that the Browns are not close in negotiations with Mayfield.
“Talks with QB Baker Mayfield have not heated up yet,” Fowler reported on Sunday. “Mayfield’s deal is the most complex to do, given QB money involved, so Browns could be waiting to clear the deck with other players.”
After extending Nick Chubb, the #Browns have begun discussing a potential deal with cornerback Denzel Ward, per sources. This could be difficult to do with two years left on Ward’s deal, but sides will see where it goes. Talks with QB Baker Mayfield have not heated up yet

The Browns are coming a promising playoff season in 2020 and have higher expectations moving forward. Locking up Mayfield to a lengthy extension should be part of their future plans.
