We have some pretty surprising running back news ahead of kickoff in Week 1 on Sunday morning.
According to multiple reports, San Francisco 49ers running back Trey Sermon and Buffalo Bills running back Zack Moss are inactive for Sunday.
It’s unclear why Moss is out. He is reportedly not injured, according to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter.

Sermon, meanwhile, is also reportedly out.
This paves the way for 49ers running back Raheem Mostert to have a big day. Take note, fantasy football owners.
“Two surprising inactives… Trey Sermon and Zack Moss are OUT. Please refer to him as Raheem MUST-START. Massive game coming for Mostert today and Singletary now flex play viable,” ESPN fantasy expert Matthew Berry tweeted.
