Bronny James has been a popular name on the high school basketball recruiting trails for a while now. That’s unsurprising, considering who his dad is.
But the high school sophomore is starting to make a name of his own. The four-star recruit has played well on the recruiting circuit this summer. And he’s already being linked to some major programs.
According to Yahoo! Sports insider Krysten Peek, four major schools have shown “early interest” in the son of the NBA superstar.
However, the status of Bronny James’ recruitment is mostly unknown.
Duke, North Carolina, Kansas and Kentucky have all shown early interest but the status of James’ recruitment is unknown.
It’s tough to predict what will happen with Bronny James’ recruitment. It’s possible that Bronny James will bypass the college game altogether.
By 2023, it’s possible that high school players will be allowed to go straight to the NBA. That’s what his father did, after all.
There’s also the option of heading straight to the G-League or playing overseas for a season before entering the NBA Draft.
For now, though, Bronny James will likely be linked to the serious college basketball blue bloods.
