After missing the first two weeks of the 2021 NFL season while continuing to recover from last year’s ACL injury, Cleveland Browns wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. is believed to be ready for Sunday’s game against the Chicago Bears.
But the best indicator that Beckham is on the mend may have been revealed today. According to ESPN’s Matt Fontana, Beckham is scheduled to speak to the media today.
Fontana pointed out that it’s rare for a player to speak to the media when they’re not playing. He noted later that it’s the first time this year that he’s spoken to the media about the team.
All of that combined with Beckham’s full participation in Wednesday’s practice, and it all points to him being available for selection on Sunday. And his return couldn’t have come at a more critical time.

I think that is a strong indication he will play Sunday. #Browns

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jarvis Landry, their leading pass catcher from last year, suffered an injury this past week and had to go on injured reserve. Beckham will have to fill the void in Landry’s absence.
The Browns are 1-1 and will likely be fighting for the AFC North title all the way into December.
They’ll need Beckham back at top form if they want to keep their passing game strong.
Will Odell Beckham Jr. play for the Browns this Sunday? And how much of an impact will he have if he does?
