As the NBA offseason continues, more and more speculation about Ben Simmons‘ future with the Philadelphia 76ers is being put out there. The latest comes from FOX Sports analyst Chris Broussard, who thinks he’s found the “perfect” fit for the All-Star guard.
Appearing on Monday’s edition of Undisputed, Broussard addressed the recent reports that Simmons has cut off communications with the Sixers. Broussard proposed that the Portland Trail Blazers would be an ideal fit if they are willing to move Damian Lillard. He asserted that things are “coming together for the perfect trade.”
But Broussard qualified his statement by pointing out that Lillard has to tell the Trail Blazers he wants a trade. Thus far, that isn’t the case.
“It seems like it’s coming together for the perfect trade,” Broussard said. “Philly wants Dame and Portland could start over with Chauncey and build around Simmons. But it’s going to take Dame to say he wants to be moved.”

Ben Simmons is coming off his third straight All-Star season, but a forgettable postseason with the 76ers. He set records for futility in shooting as the Sixers were eliminated in the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
In the days that followed, rumors began to emerge that the 76ers were ready to move on from Simmons.
Meanwhile, reports that Damian Lillard is on the outs with the Portland Trail Blazers persist. The 76ers would likely need to give up a lot more than Simmons to bring him into the fold though.
Will a trade between the 76ers and Trail Blazers involving Ben Simmons and Damian Lillard happen?
