Dak Prescott Reveals How He Felt After First Cowboys Practice

July 24, 2021 by The Spun Leave a Comment

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott on the field in Seattle.

After months of physical therapy and rehab, it appears Dak Prescott is as good as new at this week’s Cowboys training camp practices.

During a press conference appearance on Friday, the Dallas quarterback shared how he’s feeling about his ankle after the first day of practice Thursday.

“There was no part of practice yesterday when I thought about my ankle,” Prescott said, per Cowboys insider Jon Machota.

Prescott suffered a gruesome season-ending ankle injury in Week 5 of the 2020 season. Before that, the two-time Pro Bowler was leading the NFL with 1,690 passing yards and nine touchdowns (including a massive 502-yard, four-touchdown game in Week 4).

If what Prescott says is true, the fully-recovered QB could be well on his way to repeating that scorching performance to start the 2021 season.

He certainly looked pretty mobile on this throw during yesterday’s practice:

Despite his lack of participation through most of 2020, Dak Prescott got paid big time this offseason. Finally receiving a long term contract extension after operating under a franchise tag, the 27-year-old QB signed a massive 4-year, $160 million deal that locks him in with the Cowboys through the 2026 season.

With Prescott likely under center, Dallas will kick off its season against Tampa Bay on Sep. 9.
