Draymond Green is not shy about voicing his opinion on anything, so you know the Warriors forward had something to say about the drama involving the Lakers.
Los Angeles entered the season with championship aspirations, but wound up imploding and missing the postseason altogether. The Lakers did not even qualify for the play-in tournament.
Like anyone else observing the situation from the outside–albeit as someone with more connections to it than the average person–Draymond admitted he was wondering what happened.
“As a basketball fan, or as a basketball player, if you’re looking at the situation with the Los Angeles Lakers, you wind up with so many questions,” Green said on “The Volume.”
Expounding on his point, Green said being in the same position as maligned guard Russell Westbrook and fired head coach Frank Vogel is the worst fear for any player or coach in the league.
“You look at it as a player or a coach, you cringe. Because your biggest fear and worry is to be that guy in that situation who is catching all of that blame and heat,” Green said.

The Lakers officially moved on from Vogel today, less than two years after he led the team to an NBA title.
In a news conference this afternoon, Los Angeles GM Rob Pelinka described the entire season as “disappointing.”
“When you have disappointment, you have to take ownership of that and vow to be better,” Pelinka told reporters.
It’s going to be a long offseason in Tinseltown.
