On Sunday, Peyton Manning was formally inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. But his brother (and probable future Hall of Famer) Eli Manning wanted the world to know that Peyton wasn’t the only one commemorating a special occasion.
Taking to Twitter on Sunday, Eli boasted that he and his wife Abby won their consolation bracket in their mixed doubles tennis tournament. He called the day “even more special for the Manning family” and pledged not to take anything away from his brother’s special day.
“Peyton is not the only Manning to win an award today,” Eli wrote. “Abby and I won the Consolation bracket of the B league in Mixed Doubles Tennis. This day just became even more special for the Manning family. Don’t tell Peyt, I don’t want to take anything away from his big day.”
Needless to say, fans were delighted at Eli Manning’s choice of words there. His tweet has garnered over 56,000 likes in less than a day.

The Manning brothers enjoyed very different NFL careers. Peyton’s began six years before Eli’s but ended four years earlier.
Peyton was a Day 1 starter and never lost a starting job, while Eli started on the bench behind Kurt Warner and ended his career on the bench for rookie Daniel Jones.
However, one thing the two men both accomplished was winning multiple Super Bowls.
There’s little debate as to which quarterback was better (cough Peyton cough), but there may be even less debate as to whether both are worthy of Hall of Fame induction.
