No. 1 Alabama and No. 11 Florida are set to face off in a big-time SEC matchup later this week.
The Crimson Tide are coming off two dominant victories through their first two games of the season: a 44-13 win over No. 14 Miami and a 48-13 win over Mercer. The Gators also impressed through their first two contests, notching victories over Florida Atlantic (35-14) and USF (42-20).
Nick Saban and the Tide are listed as heavy 15.5 point favorites over Florida in Gainesville, but one Gator player believes it’s Alabama that need to be ready for this marquee matchup.
“We’re ready, of course,” junior linebacker Brenton Cox said on Tuesday, per Gators insider Nick de la Torre. “The big question is are they ready?”

The last time these two teams faced off was in a thrilling 2020 SEC Championship game that ended 52-46 in favor of the Crimson Tide. Alabama currently leads the all-time series 26-14 — claiming victory in seven straight matchups dating back to 2009.
The Gators haven’t taken down the Tide in Gainesville since a 28-13 victory in 2006.
This huge SEC rivalry game will kickoff in Ben Hill Griffin Stadium at 3:30 p.m. ET this Saturday.
