With the NFL Network about to unveil its top 10 player rankings for 2021, Fox Sports’ Nick Wright decided to beat them to the punch.
Wright released his own top 10 earlier today on “First Things First.” Seven players–Patrick Mahomes, Aaron Donald, Derrick Henry, Aaron Rodgers, DeAndre Hopkins, Travis Kelce and Tom Brady–on Wright’s list are also in the final 10 of the NFL Top 100.
Unlike the NFL top 10, Wright did not include Bills quarterback Josh Allen, Packers wide receiver Davante Adams or Steelers defensive end T.J. Watt. Instead, he chose Rams cornerback Jalen Ramsey, 49ers linebacker Fred Warner and Browns defensive end Myles Garrett.
Wright’s top 10 is below.

Looking at this list, Mahomes and Donald 1-2 make total sense. Five seems very high for Ramsey though, as good as he is, and while Fred Warner might be the best off-ball linebacker in the NFL, we’d probably leave him out of our top 10 player list.
Wright is going to get heat for putting Brady 10th and Rodgers fourth, but considering how bullish he was that Brady was washed up before last season, the fact he put TB12 in his top 10 shows how wrong he was.
Let us know what you think of Nick Wright’s top 10. In the meantime, the NFL100 top 10 will be released on Saturday afternoon.
