It’s probably been a while since Matthew Stafford and his wife, Kelly Stafford, had nerves like this before a football game.
The Stafford family is set to get the Los Angeles Rams era underway on Sunday night. The Rams are taking on the Bears on NBC’s Sunday Night Football.
Stafford, of course, was traded from Detroit to Los Angeles this offseason. He reportedly went to the Lions following the 2020 season and requested a trade. Multiple teams reportedly showed interest in Stafford, though he pushed hardest for the Rams.
Now, he’ll make his debut for Sean McVay’s team on Sunday night.
Stafford’s wife, Kelly, shared an honest admission on her Instagram Story before kickoff.
“Lots of kids, but far more butterflies,” she wrote on her Instagram Story.
Kelly Stafford shared a special message ahead of Week 1, too.
“It’s here and your biggest fans can’t wait to cheer you on!” she wrote.
Tonight should be fun for everyone.
The Rams and the Bears are set to kick off at 8:20 p.m. E.T. The game will air on NBC.
