The greatest swimmer in the world is set to compete at the Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan this evening. Michael Phelps will be there, too.
Katie Ledecky, one of the most dominant Olympians of all-time, is set to compete in the 400m freestyle final on Sunday night. This could be the toughest race of Ledecky’s Tokyo Games, as she faces stiff competition from Australian star Ariarne Titmus.
Titmus and Ledecky have developed a rivalry over the years. Ledecky, with 20 combined Olympic and world championship gold medals, doesn’t get challenged very often – at least by other swimmers. But Titmus is poised to be a major competitor in the 200m and 400m finals.
Phelps certainly isn’t going to doubt Ledecky, though.
The legendary United States swimmer used two words to describe his thoughts on Ledecky: “GOAT” and “stud.”
Phelps, the greatest male swimmer of all-time, is at the Olympic pool, covering the event for NBC.

It’s poised to be a pretty big night overall for Olympic swimming.
Swimming is 30 minutes away. Highlights: Arlington’s Torri Huske, 18, as a medal threat in the 100 butterfly; GB legend Adam Peaty vs. U.S.’s Michael Andrew in 100 breast; Katie Ledecky vs. Aussie Ariarne Titmus in the 400 free; men’s 4×100 relay, led off by Caeleb Dressel. Whoa.
