Paige Spiranac‘s decision to pose for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue back in 2018 certainly made a lot of headlines in the golf world.
The former collegiate golfer turned sports media personality has built quite a following. She has millions of fans across Twitter and Instagram. Of course, with a sport as traditional and historic as golf, there are always going to be some critics when you’re venturing into a new lane like Paige is.
Spiranac opened up about her decision to pose for the iconic magazine issue during an interview with GolfWRX.
“I wouldn’t say I struggled with the decision, because it’s such an honor and I’d be crazy to turn it down,” Spiranac said. “I realized that I can’t please everyone, so I might as well do what I want to do. And the issue (in 2018) is so right, because they wanted to make it more about the girls and less about the bikinis. Each girl brought in has a different message.”
Spiranac has shared several of her photos on social media.
Sports Illustrated Swimsuit has shared several of Paige’s photos from her 2018 shoot, as well.
