Just last week, the Los Angeles Lakers shocked the basketball world by trading for star point guard Russell Westbrook.
On Tuesday afternoon, the Lakers officially introduced the newest member of the organization. During his press conference on Tuesday, Westbrook made it clear he has just one job now.
He wants to make life a little easier for LeBron James.
“Bron is one of the best players to play this game,” Westbrook said during his press conference. “I’m coming to a championship caliber team, my job is to make his game easy for him.”

Westbrook knows Lakers fans expect the team to compete for a title each and every season. However, the former NBA MVP and nine-time All-Star isn’t worried about the expectations.
“I’ve been blessed and thankful to be in this league this long, and lucky to be able to play and be healthy,” Westbrook said. “When I got drafted in the NBA, that was me proving people wrong… When I went to UCLA from the inner-city, that was me proving people wrong. Just making it out the ‘hood was proving people wrong. I don’t need to do that anymore.”
A combination of Russell Westbrook, LeBron James and Anthony Davis will be difficult to beat this season.
