The New Orleans Saints are in the market for a defensive back, and the Jacksonville Jaguars have made one available.
According to Jeff Duncan of the Times-Picayune, the Saints are exploring a trade with the Jaguars for C.J. Henderson. It looks like there could be some serious traction here, as well.
Henderson and the Jaguars made headlines on Sunday when NFL insider Jeremy Fowler reported Jacksonville has placed Henderson on the trade block. It’s a surprising development for a number of reasons, including the fact Henderson is just 22 years old. The Saints certainly won’t complain, though.
“A surprise: Multiple team execs believe #Jaguars corner C.J. Henderson — the ninth overall pick in 2020 — is available via trade,” Fowler reported on Sunday. “Jacksonville has given impression in some league circles that it’s shopping Henderson, a high-pedigree player one year into rookie deal.”
New Orleans needs help at defensive back. The Saints are now exploring a trade which would land them Henderson from the Jaguars.
No surprise here, but the Saints are exploring available options in the trade market for a cornerback, including C.J. Henderson of the Jaguars. Stay tuned.

Some believe C.J. Henderson has never had interest in playing for the Jacksonville Jaguars. Perhaps a change of scenery can get him back on the right track.
The Saints, meanwhile, would love to add Henderson, but what will it cost? NFL insider Albert Breer floated the possibility of Michael Thomas being involved, seeing that Thomas has a great relationship with Jaguars head coach Urban Meyer.
It looks like it’s just speculation on Breer’s part, though.
Michael Thomas is one of Urban Meyer’s favorite players. Won a national title with him at Ohio State. Just FYI. https://t.co/XPHvEtKF5o

Stay tuned. It looks like the Saints are going to try and strike a deal with the Jaguars ahead of the 2021 season.
