Earlier this month, soccer fans watched at Lionel Messi left his longtime club, Barcelona, for a new team: Paris Saint-Germain.
He was supposed to team up with two of the best strikers in the entire world. Kylian Mbappe and Neymar play for PSG and would have given the team an incredible trio on the attacking end.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t sound like fans will be watching them all play together after all. According to multiple reports, Real Madrid made a bold attempt to lure Mbappe to the club.
ESPN reported Real Madrid launched a $186 million offer to sign Mbappe, which has been immediately rejected by PSG. The star striker has reportedly turned down multiple offers from PSG to stay with the team.
Of course, fans all think it’s just a matter of time before Real Madrid ups the offer and PSG reluctantly accepts.

Here’s more from ESPN:
“Mbappe’s contract at PSG expires next summer and he has made it clear, despite repeated approaches from the club, that he does not intend to renew. PSG believed that the arrival of Lionel Messi could change the 22-year-old’s mind, but that has not transpired.”
PSG fans may never get to see Messi, Mbappe and Neymar all on the field together.
