Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was on the losing end of a shootout with the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday. But the Steelers may have lost more than just the game as Roethlisberger apparently got hurt.
According to ESPN Steelers insider Brooke Pryor, Roethlisberger joined the Steelers’ injury list this week. Per the report, he is dealing with a pec injury.
In the interim, Mason Rudolph took the first-team reps on Wednesday. Roethlisberger did not practice.
Pryor noted that Roethlisberger took 10 QB hits in the game against the Raiders. She also pointed out that the Steelers offensive line has been struggling, and could pose a long-term problem for Roethlisberger if not addressed quickly.

Ben Roethlisberger was healthy for the entirety of last season – an increasingly rare occurrence. He completed 65.6-percent of his passes for 3,803 yards and 33 touchdowns while leading the Steelers to the AFC North title and the playoffs.
The Steelers were bounced in the Wildcard Round by the Cleveland Browns. But the team retooled in the offseason.
However, all-world center Maurkice Pouncey retired during the offseason, and the Steelers struggled to find a replacement.
Regardless of whether Roethlisberger plays against the Cincinnati Bengals this weekend, the Steelers need to find a way to protect him better. Their season depends on it.
Will Ben Roethlisberger play the rest of the season once he recovers, or will the offensive line get him hurt again?
