The Dallas Cowboys had an injury-riddled, disappointment-filled 2020 season.
Dallas, which entered the 2020 season with Super Bowl expectations, lost quarterback Dak Prescott to a season-ending injury a couple of weeks into the year. The Cowboys battled hard, but finished the season at 6-10, missing the playoffs.
Expectations are much higher in 2021.
The Cowboys have Prescott back from injury. He’s looked good so far at training camp and is feeling very optimistic heading into the regular season.
Former Cowboys quarterback turned FOX analyst Troy Aikman is feeling good about the NFC East franchise, too.
Aikman expects the Cowboys’ offense to put up a lot of points and win a lot of games this fall.
“I expect them to be as explosive as anybody in the game,” Aikman said in a clip posted to Twitter by FOX4’s Mike Doocy. “I know that last year’s defense was not that good, and there’s some concerns there. Until they show it on the field, there’s going to be those questions. But I believe that the players that they have, if health- I hate to even say ‘if they stay healthy;’ that’s true for all teams- but I believe that if the players that they have can play to the ability that we all know that they can play to, I think that they should have plenty of defense to complement an explosive offense and win a lot of games.”
