The Washington Football Team finally found its running back of the present — and future — last season in third-round pick Antonio Gibson.
The rookie from Memphis surpassed all expectations as a rookie, rushing for 795 yards and 11 touchdowns as a rookie. A toe injury in November ruined any chance at Gibson rushing for 1,000 yards in 2020.
Two of the more impressive stats from Gibson’s rookie year were his 4.7 yards per attempt and his percentage of positive runs. Over 96% of Gibson’s rushing attempts ended with positive yardage.
While Gibson is the highlight of Washington’s backfield, he isn’t the team’s only capable back.
Now, we preview Washington’s entire room of running backs before training camp.
