Ryan Vernillion, Washington’s head athletic director, has been placed on administrative leave following a raid Friday night. Federal authorities searched the team’s facility in Ashburn and a home in Loudon.
The team came out and said Ryan Vermillion “placed on administrative leave due to an ongoing criminal investigation that is unrelated to the team.”
There isn’t a lot of public info on this at the moment. Everything else we know is that this investigation has been going on since training camp. Players have also been contacted by the feds about the investigation.
Head coach Rivera was asked about the news and his response was “We made a statement”. He went on to avoid any further questions about the ongoing investigation.
