Capitals re-sign Rasmus Sandin to a five-year contract

The Washington Capitals have re-signed defenseman Rasmus Sandin to a five-year contract that has an average value of $4.6 million. Sandin was acquired last season from Toronto and is only 23 years old. Sandin has stayed healthy through most of the season and has three goals and 17 assists along with a -9 rating.
