Orioles sign 1st round draft pick Ike Irish
The Orioles have signed their first-round draft pick, Ike Irish, a catcher from Auburn University. Irish was the 19th overall selection in Sunday’s draft. According to MLB.com’s Jim Callis, Irish signed for $4,418,400. Irish, a 21-year-old left-handed hitter, batted .364 with a 1.179 OPS, 19 home runs and 58 RBIs this season in 55 games for the Tigers.
