Follow along as the Nationals look to take the series against the Snakes
Last night was an offensive thriller for the Nats, who scored nine runs for a third straight game. Both James Wood and Josh Bell have homered in all three of those games. Those guys will look to stay hot in the second game of a three game set against the Diamondbacks.
The Nationals are bringing back their no righty lineup, but with a couple tweaks. Hot hitting Luis Garcia Jr. is in the cleanup spot while the struggling Keibert Ruiz is moved down to the six hole. It is really just last night’s lineup, but with Ruiz instead of Riley Adams. Michael Soroka has shown flashes of brilliance since coming off the IL, but he has not had a complete start yet. Hopefully he can change that tonight.

Like the Nats, the Diamondbacks are only making one tweak to their lineup. Randal Grichuk is replacing Lourdes Gurriel Jr. in left field tonight. Gurriel is normally a mainstay in the Snakes lineup. Other wise the lineup is unchanged. The dependable Brandon Pfaadt is taking the mound for Arizona.
