Follow along as the Nationals get back to work following a rain out last night
The red hot Washington Nationals were stopped in their tracks last night, but not by the Braves. Mother nature delayed the Nationals chance to win a fifth straight game. Tonight they will be back in action, taking on the Atlanta Braves.
With Dylan Crews going on the IL, Robert Hassell III will make his big league debut, batting seventh and playing center field. Jacob Young is not on the IL, but he is still not in the lineup after colliding with the wall in Baltimore. That means Alex Call will play right field. Call is the only pure right handed hitter in the lineup. Trevor Williams will take the mound for the Nats.

The Braves are only making one change to their game one lineup. They have an embarrassment of riches at the catching position. Both Sean Murphy and Drake Baldwin have had great seasons. With Ozuna and Olson entrenched at DH in first base, one of those guys is going to have to be out of the lineup. Today, Baldwin will play, while Murphy played in game one. AJ Smith-Shawver was stellar in his last start against the Nats and will look to repeat the trick tonight.

While it stinks to see Dylan Crews go down, I am excited to see Robert Hassell’s MLB debut tonight. He is arriving to a team full of confidence. It is time to make a statement and get that fifth straight win. Let’s go Nats!
