Follow along as the Nationals get an early start on July 4th against the Red Sox
After winning the series against the Tigers, the Nats start their series against the Red Sox early. They are getting underway with an 11:05 start for the 4th of July. Last year we had a great 4th of July game with a Jake Irvin masterclass and a Jesse Winker go ahead home run.
For this 4th of July game, the Nats will mix up their lineup a bit. After missing time with a head injury, Keibert Ruiz is back in the lineup hitting 8th. Daylen Lile is in their over Alex Call and Josh Bell will get the start over Paul DeJong, who hit his first Nationals home run yesterday. Canadian Michael Soroka will get the start on Independence Day.

The Red Sox have two of the most highly touted prospects in baseball in their lineup. Roman Anthony will DH while Marcelo Mayer will get the start at third base. Despite not being a big name, Carlos Narvaez has been a revelation for the Sox behind the plate after being traded from the rival Yankees this weekend. Former National Lucas Giolito will get the start this morning.
