Follow along as the Nationals look to bounce back from their Independence Day drubbing
After a disappointing showing on July 4th, the Nats are looking to bounce back just like they did after their 11-2 loss against the Tigers. The Nats have been solid to start July, but have had a couple stinkers like yesterday. However, they have been able to put those behind them.
Davey Martinez is rolling with an unchanged lineup this afternoon. Keibert Ruiz will get his second straight start after coming off the IL. Alex Call and Paul DeJong will remain on the bench despite being impactful in the Tigers series. We will probably see them tomorrow against southpaw Garrett Crochet. Speaking of left handers, Mitchell Parker will be on the mound for the Nats.

With a lefty on the mound, the Red Sox lineup looks very different. A top two of Nate Eaton and Romy Gonzalez is unconventional to say the least. We are not going to see guys like Marcelo Mayer and Wilyer Abreu with a lefty on the mound. However, left hander Roman Anthony will stay in the lineup and bat third. Walker Buehler, who has really struggled lately will take the ball for the Sox.

The Nats need to put their tough loss yesterday behind them and go out and compete today. A series win is still on the table here and extending the series win streak to three would be a big step for this team. Comment down below and let’s go Nats!
