Follow along as the Nats look to build on last night’s high scoring win
It was more stressful that it should have been, but the Washington Nationals got back in the win column last night. They jumped on Reds pitchers early and often, putting up double digits on the night. Now they will look to solve the Reds flame throwing phenom.
The Nationals are only making one change to the lineup tonight. Luis Garcia Jr. will be back in there, replacing Amed Rosario. Otherwise, the same faces will square off against Reds righty Chase Burns. Brad Lord will make his first start since rejoining the rotation. He is not expected to go too deep in the game.

The Reds are keeping things mostly the same as well. Gavin Lux and Austin Hays are swapping positions from last night, with Lux now in left field and Hays at DH. Tyler Stephenson will take Jose Trevino’s place behind the plate. As has been eluded to, flame throwing Chase Burns will be on the mound. He was the number 2 pick in the 2024 draft. Burns raced through the minors but has had an up and down start to his MLB career.
Game two with the Nats.
