Follow along as the Nationals look to bounce back from their afternoon drubbing
The first game of the double header was ugly for the Nationals. However, the beauty of a double header is that there is another game to bounce back. The Nats will get the chance to bounce back tonight with their ace on the mound.
The Nats have made a few changes to their lineup. Luis Garcia Jr. will replace Amed Rosario at second base. James Wood will go back to left field, meaning Josh Bell will DH. Brady House will get a breather, with Paul DeJong getting his first start since coming off the IL. Riley Adams will get the start behind the plate and will be tasked with catching Nationals ace MacKenzie Gore.

The platoon heavy Tigers are also switching some things up. Despite hitting two home runs, Riley Greene will be on the bench. Jahmai Jones will be in left field instead. With Jake Rogers starting game one, Dillon Dingler will be behind the plate for game two. Justyn-Henry Malloy, who just got called up from AAA will DH and leadoff for the Tigers. The resurgent Javier Baez will also be in the lineup. Jack Flaherty will be on the mound.

With only the White Sox and Rockies having fewer wins than the Nats, they really need to get going. Getting a win and splitting the double header would be a good place to start. Comment down below and let’s go Nats!
