Follow along as the Nationals start a series with the injury riddled Astros
The Nationals had their first winning week in about two months. Now they are looking to win their third straight series in Houston. It is a different looking Astros team to the one we are used to due to injury but they are still a force in the AL West.
As we suggested at Federal Baseball, James Wood is getting his day off after a miserable run lately. Daylen Lile will slide over to left field, pushing Alex Call to right. Jacob Young will also return to the lineup after an injury scare. Paul DeJong has not played much second base in his career, but that is where he will be today. Brad Lord will get the start. It will be interesting to see how deep he goes.

This Astros team is riddled with injuries. There are still some familiar names like Jose Altuve and Christian Walker. However, this is not the kind of lineup we have come to expect from the Astros. Guys like Yordan Alvarez and Jeremy Pena are out with injuries. Their ace Framber Valdez will be on the mound though.

The Nats have been playing some decent ball lately despite James Wood’s struggles. Now they will look to take a series against a banged up Astros team. Feel free to comment about all things Nationals baseball down below.
