Washington looks to try and even the series against the red hot Milwaukee Brewers.
Entering tonight’s game, Milwaukee has won five in a row and is in a tight race for the National League Central. Meanwhile, the Washington Nationals are trying to become one of the bottom teams in all of baseball. After the firing of Rizzo and Martinez, Washington is continuing to find their identity and start winning games. A win tonight would be a great one, and it would be a moral boost for the entire locker room.
The two bright spots in the lineup, James Wood and CJ Abrams, are leading things off for Washington. With a struggling lefty on the mound, Washington will need their offense to step up in a big way. Lile and House will be two names to watch for the late stretch of the season, as they continue to try and make a name for themselves.

Brandon Woodruff makes his second start of the season after a dynamite first start. This lineup is red hot after a stellar offensive output against Mitchell Parker. With Contreras, Yelich, Chourio, and Frelick in the lineup today, this team is at full strength, trying to win yet another series.

Washington is in desperate need of the All-Star break. It is great for Washington to have two stars on the national stage, showing everyone the exciting baseball that Nationals fans have seen. With a good break, it could rejuvenate Washington, and we could see some success in the second half. More moves will be made throughout the organization, and things may start getting messy.
