Follow along as the Nats kick off their road trip in Minnesota
After a series win against the Reds, the Nationals will look to continue their momentum against the Twins. Like the Nats, the Twins have had a disappointing season and could be selling at the deadline. However, there is still plenty of talent on this Twins roster.
MacKenzie Gore is looking to bounce back after he had the worst start of his career last time out. His ERA really ballooned after allowing 8 runs in 2.1 innings. The Nationals will run out what has become their standard lineup. Their top two guys, CJ Abrams and James Wood will lead the way. Cleanup man Josh Bell has also been red hot lately. Riley Adams will be behind the plate catching Gore tonight.

The Twins lineup has some big names in it. Guys like Byron Buxton, Carlos Correa, Royce Lewis and Harrison Bader have a lot of pedigree. It is a rarity to see all of those guys healthy at the same time though, but they are tonight. Players like Willi Castro and Ryan Jeffers don’t have the same name brand value, but are solid contributors as well. Zebby Matthews, a former top 100 prospect looking to establish himself in the Twins rotation will take the mound.

This should be an interesting series. We don’t get to see the Twins a whole lot, so it is exciting to see what kind of players they have. Guys like Byron Buxton are such treats to watch. Hopefully the Nats can continue their winning ways. Share your thoughts down below and let’s go Nationals!
