Follow along as the Nationals take on the Twins in a rubber match
The Nationals yo-yo offense struck again last night. After getting shut out in game one, the Nats worked Twins ace Joe Ryan. It has just been that kind of year for the offense. Hopefully we get the good offense today as the Nats look for the series win in Minnesota.
Despite his big time struggles lately, James Wood will remain in the 2 hole. Watching his at bats have been painful lately. Miguel Cairo did make some changes to his lineup though. Riley Adams is back behind the plate. Paul DeJong is also in there at third base. After Jacob Young’s injury yesterday, Alex Call will be in center field. Jake Irvin will be your starting pitcher.

Seeing a righty and facing some injuries, the Twins switched things up. We will see Travis Larnach and Kody Clemens for the first time this series. Harrison Bader will also move to center field due to a Byron Buxton injury. Cole Sands will get the start today, but expect the bullpen to get a lot of work for the Twins.

Despite the big win last night, I really want to see James Wood get going again. It has been a worrying stretch from him. I know he will be fine, but it is sad to watch. Otherwise, the team just needs to keep stringing together good AB’s. Comment all of your Nationals related thoughts down below.
