Follow along as the struggling Nationals look to avoid a sweep at the hands of the Mets
The Washington Nationals offense is really sputtering right now. They got shut out last night, and have only scored 15 runs in June. It is time to get back on track. However, that will be tough with Mets ace Kodai Senga on the mound.
With the right handed Senga on the mound, the Nats will switch things up. Josh Bell, Keibert Ruiz, Jose Tena and Robert Hassell III are back in the lineup. Those guys will look to do better than the lineup that got shutout by David Peterson last night. Despite a righty on the mound, Alex Call will stay in the lineup, as he is one of the few guys swinging a hot bat. Michael Soroka will be on the mound looking to follow up his best start of the season.

The Mets are making some changes to the bottom of their lineup as well. Francisco Alvarez will be in at catcher and Starling Marte will replace Jared Young as DH. Their fearsome top 4 of Lindor, Nimmo, Soto and Alonso remains unchanged. Mets ace Kodai Senga will be on the mound as the Queens crew look for a home sweep.

The Nationals need to snap out of their funk badly. This offensive production has been unacceptable, especially given the talent on the roster. It won’t be easy with Senga on the mound, but this Nats team needs to show some fight. Comment down below and let’s go Nats!
