Follow along as the Nationals look to get back on track against a quality Mariners squad
Last night was just not the Nationals night. Mitchell Parker got jumped on in the first inning and the Nats offense was non-existent outside of a James Wood solo homer. Now the Nationals have a chance to even up the series and force a rubber match.
Trevor Williams will take the mound for the Nats. He has struggled this season, and with Cade Cavalli’s strong performances in AAA, his rotation spot could be in jeopardy. Williams could really use a strong performance. In an unusual twist, the Nationals are running out the same lineup as last night. There has been a lot of chopping and changing to the lineup this season, so it is weird to see the same nine in the same order. CJ Abrams will lead off and look to get out of his funk.

With a righty on the mound, the Mariners are making some changes to their lineup. Jorge Polanco, Rowdy Tellez and Miles Mastrobuoni will all come into the lineup tonight. George Kirby will make his second start of the season for the Mariners after missing a big chunk of the season with injury.
