Follow along as the Nationals face off against an old foe in Jacob Degrom, now a Texas Ranger
The Washington Nationals are facing off against an old divisional foe in Jacob Degrom. Degrom was one of the most dominant pitchers in baseball with the Mets. After a few injury plagued years, Degrom is back to dominating, even with his 37th birthday coming up this month. Luckily, the Nats got the win last night, which makes this matchup less pressure filled.
The Nats are rolling out a bit of a new look lineup. Our top two of CJ Abrams and James Wood are familiar, but after that there is some mixing and matching. Luis Garcia Jr. is in the 3 hole, while Nathaniel Lowe is lower in the lineup than usual. Keibert Ruiz is back in the lineup, but he is hitting 8th. Alex Call will get the start even with a right hander on the mound. That means Jacob Young will be on the bench. The struggling Mitchell Parker will get the start.

The Rangers are searching for answers offensively right now, so skipper Bruce Bochy is switching things up. Corey Seager will get the day off, as he has been slumping lately. In a lineup with a lot of underperforming big names, Sam Haggerty will lead off for Texas. After a night off, starting catcher Jonah Heim will be behind the dish. As previously mentioned, Jacob Degrom will be on the mound.
